Yep, you read it right. Their names are basically the male and female versions of one another. How crazily amazing is that?!!! When I first met this couple about a year ago, I knew they would live happily ever after even before hearing their love story. This duo, both from Louisville, actually lived blocks away from one another growing up and have family and friends in the same circles. But they didn’t meet until years later.
For engagement sessions, I ask my couples to list a few preferred dates, to make scheduling simple. Micahia asked me for a particular day and location for their engagement session, which isn’t out of the ordinary at all. I didn’t think anything of it. But soon after, things began to add up to something unique. Micahia informed me that after their restaurant first date, they went to a nearby park. You know, when the date is really over, but you just don’t want it to end. You feel that connection and you want a little more time with this new acquaintance. What do you do?
Then, during the session, while walking from one location to another, they shared with me that Micah popped the question at Thunder Over Louisville one year ago.
So the engagement session was all significant and mushy and stuff. It was on the one year anniversary of their engagement in the park where they ended their last first date!
This engagement session was so much fun. The couple was super laid back and followed directions so well. They were naturals in front of the camera, and Micahia has the PERFECT fake laugh if I have ever seen and heard one! Every single time, she laughed on cue-so well, in fact, that it made me laugh several times. Mom and sister were on hand to help with fly-aways and wardrobe fixes, and I just fell in love with the whole family. We talked about work, breakfast restaurants, kyaks, and ashy ankles. I can say it was a well-rounded session.
Micah and Micahia, it was such an honor and a pleasure capturing the love and joy you share with one another. I can’t wait to see you on your wedding day to capture more and meet the rest of your friends and families! We may have to get together again before your wedding. I don’t know if I can wait that long to see you guys again!
