With the ever-increasing popularity of large online retailers and megastores, there is a growing necessity to encourage people to “buy local.” The initiative is designed to keep people shopping in Mom and Pop stores, which helps the local economy not to mention small business owners like myself. To help accelerate the trend toward “buying local,” I decided that every month or so I would intentionally shine this little light of mine on a small businesses in the Kentuckiana area that I love. For the month of March, the small business spotlight is on
Owners, Rhonda and Kevin Moss recently opened this charming store to give Louisvillians a place to purchase health-promoting items, such as CBD oils and products, books, bags, and gifts, many of which are Kentucky Proud.
The centerpiece of the store, which by the way is NOT for sale, is an antique fireplace mantle that was passed down to Rhonda from her father. In addition to other areas of the store, the mantle is adorned with unique and Louisville-themed items, such as goat milk soaps, lotions, and oils. While there, I had the opportunity to try out several items, and they are amazing. If I had to choose a favorite item, I would have to say my favorite (even though I don’t drink) is the goat milk soap, made to look like a glass of bourbon. It even has ice cubes in it! I will definitely be frequenting this store!
You can find Rhonda, Kevin, all of these goodies and more at:

If you own or know of a small business located in the Louisville or Southern Indiana area that you would like for me to spotlight, leave the name of the business in the comments.
Congrats on your new business!
