I had the pleasure of shooting a lifestyle session with the Preston Family last week. This beautiful family of three, Sanja, Tate, and little Emilija, were perfectly coordinated in their fall colored attire and were ready to go before I even arrived. As I got to know a little bit about the family and their backgrounds, I learned some pretty cool things.
For one, they have two large dogs that don’t like being closed up in a bedroom because I was there. Forest, the black and grey pup, made up for the barking with his posing skills.
Another fun fact is that the couple hadn’t selected a name for their unborn baby, but when they began decorating the nursery with an aviation theme, it became apparent that the name Emilija was perfect for their darling bundle of joy.
Perhaps the coolest thing of all that happened at this session was that I got to photograph baby Emilija in a cradle that has been passed down through generations of Tate’s family. In fact, his grandmother slept in this very same cradle in the early 1900’s.
Sanja and Tate, thank you for allowing me the pleasure of photographing your beautiful family. It was an honor to freeze some moments with you all.
