Andrea and Alex Engagement

Posted in: Engagements

A cord of three strands is not easily broken.

(Ecclesiastes 4:12)

My most recent engaged couple has chosen this verse to guide their lives together. Two people can conquer much, but when the third strand (God) is added, the cord shall not be broken. Andrea and Alex are a couple determined to keep God at the center of their marriage, and after interacting with them on several occasions, this is a genuine lifestyle choice for them. They show kindness, love, and sincerity in their dealings with each other, their children, and others around them.

The setting for this session was the most beautiful day of the year! The air was a perfect combination of warmth with a cool breeze to blow the colorful, fallen leaves. Andrea and Alex looked stunning in their red and neutrals and probably felt like celebrities with the many onlookers wandering around the park.

They were so into each other, though, they may not have even noticed.

The two met several years ago in one of the most recognized and charming areas of The Derby City-Old Louisville. I remember Andrea saying when she first saw him, she was amazed at how tall he was. They dated for a couple of years and knew that they were destined to spend the rest of their lives together. How sweet of a moment it was to photograph them in the exact spot where they met. In this emotional full-circle moment, they tenderly wiped each other’s tears, chuckling at the precious memories they have shared over the years-and planning for a lifetime of more.

Andrea and Alex, thank you so much for allowing me to peer into your love for a couple of hours. It was a pleasure spending time with you guys and getting to know you better. I’m looking forward to your wedding day and what God has in store for your family as you two tie the knot.
