Fall Family Photo Sessions: Ro and Family

Posted in: Families

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Tanisha, her husband Javoughn, their sweet 18-month-old daughter Ro, and her Nana for a beautiful fall family photo session. Some sessions just fill you up with joy from the very start, and this one was no exception. They are a family whose love for each other practically glows in every photo!

Let’s start with little Ro. This baby was pure sunshine! Bubbly, expressive, and all-around hilarious, she filled the session with so much joy, bouncing between Mom, Dad, and Nana. And let me tell you, we had to pull out all the stops to keep her laughing and looking at the camera—crazy words like “girfirdoo,” silly faces, and little dances. We all ended up laughing right along with her, and the family photos we captured are absolutely priceless. PRICELESS!

Tanisha, Javoughn, and family came dressed to impress! They absolutely rocked their session in perfectly coordinated, rich fall colors that not only looked amazing against the autumn backdrop but also highlighted the warmth and closeness of their family bond. Every detail was on point, and it added such a beautiful touch to their photos. Tanisha will take credit for the color palette, but Javoughn also thanks pastor T.D. Jakes for the color inspiration. All I can say is… assignment understood.

But like any 18-month-old, Ro had her own agenda—including the need for a quick change! So when Nana swooped in for “blowout duty” (thank you, Nana!), we snuck in a few sweet “mommy and daddy” shots. The way Javoughn looked at Tanisha—full of pride and love—was such a special moment, and Tanisha looked right back at him with that same warm and bright smile. You can see how much they appreciate each other through all life’s big (and little) moments, and capturing that during this autumn family portrait session was a joy.

Tanisha also had something major to celebrate—she recently earned her doctorate! YAAAS! How amazing is that? We made sure to capture a few professional headshots for “Doctor Mom” to mark the occasion. Tanisha looked absolutely radiant, filled with confidence and pride in every photo.

Fall family photo sessions like these remind me why I’m so grateful to do this work. It’s not just about the photos. it’s about laughing together, creating memories, and capturing those little looks and gestures that show a family’s love. Thank you, Tanisha, Javoughn, Ro, and family, for letting me be part of such a joyful day. It was a pleasure!

If you’ve been dreaming of capturing family moments like this, it’s not too late! I still have a few November spots open for fall family photo sessions! Let’s celebrate the love, joy, and unique connection that make your family special. Reach out soon to book. These final dates won’t last long!
