My latest engagement session gave me a brief escape from the hustle and bustle of the city into a charming town east of Louisville called Versailles. I know those of you not familiar with Kentucky are thinking the pronunciation for this town is “Ver-sigh,” after the french city famous for its gardens and palace. However, you native Kentuckians know that this town is pronounced “Ver-sales.” Anyway, this cute little town could easily be the setting of one of those Hallmark Christmas movies that I have been binge watching lately.
Just as I adore those Hallmark movies (that all have the same storyline), I absolutely fell for this friendly and smoking hot couple, Jordan and Colton. This sweet pair met a few years ago through a mutual friend, with whom Jordan worked. Upon their initial date, Colton and Jordan’s dog, Jed, were pretty sure that this was going to be a love connection; however, it took Jordan a couple more dates before she knew. But once she knew, she knew. The couple got engaged last Christmas in front of Jordan’s entire family, after Colton took Jordan’s mom ring shopping. Super sweet, right? I can tell he’s a really great guy.
The soon to be Clarks’ engagement session took place in the downtown area of Versailles. The couple showed up looking stunning in their coordinating ensembles with a slight holiday feel. Jordan’s makeup and hair were perfect, complimenting her natural beauty. I expected nothing less from a hairstylist bride-to-be! Colton looked dapper as well in his denim and blazer. As we walked, we talked about the town, wedding plans, and how anxious they were to be in front of the camera. You can hardly tell they were nervous or that Colton isn’t really a fan of taking photos, because
Jordan and Colton, it was so much fun hanging out with you guys in small town USA. I can’t wait to see you guys in a few months to capture your big day!
I hope you guys enjoyed your complimentary engagement drink from The Amsden (a really cool bourbon bar owned by a guy with a really cool accent).
