Capturing Menelik: A Senior Session with a Future Tech Star
Some seniors have a natural, magnetic presence that lights up a session—and Menelik is one of those standouts. This cool, laid-back guy brought his A-game to his senior photography session, and with a little classic mom encouragement (hint: holding car privileges over his head!), we got some truly winning smiles. His mom, who is clearly his biggest fan, even tried busting out her dance moves (think “Bust-a-Move type) to keep the smiles coming, but Menelik just shook his head, laughed, and stayed as cool as ever. She’s convinced he’s one of the best young men around—and after meeting him, I’d have to agree.
Menelik’s wrapping up high school at DuPont Manual, where he’s been giving it his all on the wrestling team. Wrestling is tough, demanding both grit and discipline, but he’s got it all. And when he’s not on the mat, you’ll find him running track, putting that same energy and dedication into every step. He’s relentless, whether it’s in academics or athletics.
And Menelik has big plans for what comes next. He’s diving into the world of tech, planning to study cybersecurity or computer science in college with dreams of becoming a data scientist or analyst. The data is in, and it’s looking really promising! With a passion for tech, he’s ready to make his mark on the world, no doubt. And you can see he’s already thinking like a pro, living by his favorite quote, “The biggest risk is not taking any risk,” from Mark Zuckerberg—a great fit for a future innovator.
It was an honor to capture Menelik’s personality and talents, and I can’t wait to see the bright future that’s waiting for him. Here’s to you, Menelik—a powerhouse on the mat, a star on the track, and an all-around exceptional young man!
For all my senior families out there, now’s the time to capture your graduate’s big year! These are the moments you’ll want to hold onto forever. If you haven’t scheduled your senior photography session yet, reach out today.
