Stephanie

Posted in: Maternity

Yesterday, I had the honor of photographing a beautiful young lady. Although it made me feel a case of the geriatric blues, it was so much fun interacting with Stephanie, the grownup. You see, we grew up in the same church. I was a teenager when she was born, so to see her go through grade school, high school, college, and now starting a family made me feel, well..

OLD!

We began our session inside of the Louisville Free Public Library, but since it was such a nice day (for December), we headed outside. This is where things got a little comical. Anyone who has visited downtown Louisville, especially around the library knows that there are often interesting characters hanging around (to say the least). They have been known to make random and sometimes inappropriate comments to passers-by. So of course, after noticing the on-lookers, Stephanie’s dad-6’5″, former military, don’t play about his family-Bill Dickerson joined the party. It was kind of nice having personal security on-site.

Stephanie was cute as a button in her casual jeans, tee, and boots and stunning in her long, flowy, cranberry dress. She definitely made a statement with that one!

And her dad made one too.

“Don’t even think about messing with my baby girl. I am not the one you want to try today.”

Thank you Stephanie for allowing me to capture this special time in your life. You will be a great mother and I pray that you soak up all of the joy that your baby will bring!
