Today, my friends, is a day of denial.
That little chubby-cheeked baby that turned me into a gushing Godmother is sixteen years old today.
I can’t even believe it. I still wonder when he had time to grow up. It seemed like just yesterday that I was stealing him away from his mom for our outings and adventures via carseat.
Now, when I call the house, I’m greeted by this man-boy tenor voice.
Although his physical being has changed, some things have thankfully remained the same. Josiah is still that kind and loving, helpful and generous young man that we all love. If you’ve spent any time at all with him, you know exactly what I mean. People can rarely put into words that element of his personality that is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.
Everyone says the same thing…
Josiah, you are indeed something special, and God has big plans for your life. Never forget that. Now, go enjoy being sixteen (but not TOO much)!
XOXO Aunt Shannon
This means more to me than I can even put into words. I love you, Aunt Shannon, always and forever. Thank you for being a huge, drastically important part of the production of the person I am today.
Right back atcha kid!
Beautiful photos of a boy that you adore so much!
I sure do!
