Erin and Jordan

Posted in: Engagements

Typically, I meet engaged couples at a wedding consultation, where we share stories, get to know a little about each other, and go over wedding details and such. I know a little about them by the time we meet for their engagement session and can recognize them upon their arrival.  Sometimes, however, I book couples without meeting them in person. So, I occasionally do what we nowadays refer to as the “Facebook stalk,” but most of the time I just wait and see.

With my latest SDP couple, Erin and Jordan, it was a wait and see, so I had no clue what to expect. Well, let me tell you. This gorgeous pair literally looked as if they strolled straight out of the pages of a Toys ‘R Us catalogue. “It was the 21st night of September, love was changing the mind of pretenders,” and here I was…standing in front of a real life Barbie and Ken. They both have stunning looks, are syrupy sweet, and are so lucky in love.

The University of Kentucky (Go Wildcats) brought this adorable duo together. They met, fell in love, and knew they had met the one to cherish forever. I have to say, Jordan did so good on the engagement. They went on a trip to North Carolina, and right there in the beautiful gardens of the Biltmore Mansion, he proposed.

And OH EMMM GEEE! The RING. IS. A. MAZE. ING!

This soon-to-be husband and wife did such a great job at their photo session. Because of their love of older, character homes, Erin and Jordan decided they wanted the backdrop of their photos to be Old Louisville. Unintentionally, we even took some photos in front of a pink house (that I will forever refer to as The Barbie Dream House). The weather was hot, but they were troopers. Jordan even agreed that it wasn’t too painful (LOL).

Erin and Jordan, it was such a pleasure to get to meet you guys. I am so happy for you, and I can’t wait to photograph your beautiful wedding. Let the countdown begin!
