Last weekend, I had the pleasure of hanging out with one of the most beautiful families in the city of Louisville. The Frenches and I go way back…I mean WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back. You see, I used to babysit their children. Yes, I just dated myself, because as you can see, there are no “children” in these photos. The story of how Karla and Eric met alone is enough for a separate blog post, but the short of it is this.
Fast forward to last weekend, the Frenches and I met at a local park for their session. The weather was nice and the family looked adorable in their coordinating ensembles. Eric, pastor of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, dapper in his elbow patched blazer brought the jokes and laughs with him as he thinks he is a comedian on his off days from pastoring. Karla, an elementary teacher was her beautiful, sweet and soft-spoken self, fussing over her babies’ clothing in between shots (she might kill me for sharing this, but if you know her, you know it’s true). Then, there are the real stars of the show, Tim and Kayla. These are two of the cutest siblings ever. They used to fuss with each other (maybe still do, I don’t know), but they have had and will always have each other’s back NO MATTER WHAT! The handsome Tim is a very talented professional musician and the gorgeous Kayla is a pre-med undergrad at Vanderbilt University. Both are sweet, respectful, and love God.
Even though there were liquid spits from the sky at the end of the session (and you know black women and rain don’t mesh), we had a good time-which is what always happens when we get together.
Frenches, it was a pleasure catching up with you all and an honor to have been able to capture the joy in your hearts that you share with each other and the world.
